FORT ST. JOHN A local man has been named to the board of a prestigious financial association. Brad Brain was named a Director of Advocis BC North and Yukon, the local chapter of the Financial Advisors Association of Canada. "As an Association, our mission, is to prepare, promote, and protect the independent-minded financial advisor in a professional manner,’’ said Laurie Mitchell, the incoming President. "We look forward to serving the best interests of advisors and their clients." Brain joins President Laurie Mitchell (Terrace), Vice-President Sarah Holland (Prince George), secretary-treasurer Gordon Hayward (Prince George), Past-President Catherine Stovel (Prince George), and Directors Dianne Bruce (Whitehorse), Jerry DeWit (Prince George), Richard Hobson (Prince George), John Kason (Prince George), Liane Kimmie (Quesnel), Pierre Lacasse (Whitehorse), and Cliff Yolland(Kitimat). Advocis, the Financial Advisors Association of Canada, is the professional membership association of financial advisors.
